Who We Are

Today, MACC is a Community-Based nonprofit, that associates over 23 churches, parishes, and ministers in the mission of providing support services to those in need and coordinating charitable endeavors across the faith-based spectrum.

We strive to ensure that the faith-based community is regarded as a core source of caring for vulnerable populations in our community, while providing the faith community an avenue to volunteer and support their fellow neighbors in their plight. As a people of faith, we have been blessed, so that we may be a blessing to others. “We are Blessed to be blessing”.

I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. Genesis 12:2

In the essentials, Unity. In the non-essentials, Liberty. In all things, Charity.

Our Vision and Mission

Our Vision is to love our neighbors as ourselves.

“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.” Matthew 22:36-40

Our Mission is to realize our Vision by caring for our neighbors through charitable endeavors and acts of kindness, in accordance with the gospel of Christ and His command to love our neighbors as ourselves, bringing Glory to Christ.

"Because of the service by which you have proved yourselves, others will praise God for the obedience that accompanies your confession of the gospel of Christ, and for your generosity in sharing with them and with everyone else." 2 Corinthians 9:13

In the essentials, Unity. In the non-essentials, Liberty. In all things, Charity.

What is MACC?

We are… Benevolent
Bene comes from Latin, meaning “Blessing”. Regardless of works, we strive to care and alleviate the difficulty of this world.

We are… Charitable
We do good for all in our area, regardless of faith or lack of it. We are an equal opportunity provider of all services.

We are…Community-Based
Our focus is solely on the needs of our neighbors. Those best qualified to care for community, come from the community.

We are… Faith-Based
James 1:27 – Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.

Our Story

Every community has a Ministerial Association… it can show itself in different ways. From a coffee klatch of pastors to a nonprofit charity. Each type dedicated to finding ways to serve the community.

In the wake of the wildfires of 2018, ministers from all over Colusa County came together to form a new way to how ministers fellowship – forming a charitable nonprofit.

As a group, we realized that there was a gaping hole in how our community cared for itself – a gap that our churches could fill as a unified effort.

Statement of Common Understanding

As an association of ministers who unite to care for those in our communities, we agree that the following statement is in line with each of our own personal convictions and ministerial practices.

We believe the Bible to be the only inspired, infallible, authoritative Word of God.

We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus, the Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father and in His personal return in power and glory.

We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful humanity, regeneration by the Holy Spirit through faith in Jesus the Christ is absolutely essential.

We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by who’s indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.

We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost, they who are saved unto the resurrection of life and they who are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.

We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus the Christ.

We believe that all human life is sacred and made in the image of God. Consequently, must have concern for the spiritual and physical needs of all people.

We believe human sexuality is to be expressed only within the context of monogamous marriage. Further, the examples of marriage in scripture portray marriage as a union of a male to a female.
